I am loving retirement after 35 years of teaching music in middle school. My husband and I have been living in Southern Cal for 44 years. Life is good; traveling, family, grandkids, friends and hobbies. Every day is a blessing. Looking forward to seeing familiar faces at the reunion.

Hello fellow Clover Park Warriors! I miss the "Great Northwest." I'm sorry to say that my semi annual trips to God's country stopped soon after my husband passed in 2016, mother passing in 2107 and then the Pandemic hit. I have two brothers still living in Washington, Marc Seales who teaches at the UW. He's a jazz musician and you can Google him. My younger brother, a retired rocker, Jesse Seales, lives in Tacoma. I retired from teaching music in middle school 17 years ago but I am also the music director of my church, so the music in me lives on. Losing my husband was difficult but I have two sons who keep tabs on me. My oldest, Chris is an Assistant Principal and my youngest, Issy III is a P.E. Teacher. Both work in the Los Angeles School District. My 2 grandchildren keep me alert. My high school granddaughter models and my grandson, Scotty Washington is a sophomore at Cal Baptist University, plays on the school basketball team in the same conference as Seattle University. I am so thankful for my family, friends and my church. God has been good to me! |

After graduating from Clover Park, I attended Western Washington State College, taught in the Shelton and Clover Park school systems, received a graduate degree from the U. of Idaho, and worked for three agencies--Bureau of Outdoor Recreation, Heritage Conservation and Recreation Service, and National Park Service--of the U.S. Dept. of the Interior. I also married my wife, Bonnie, in 1965, following our senior year at WWSC. By 1973, we added a son, Chris, and a daughter, Jill, to our family. As a follow-up to my profile in the “40 Year Reunion” booklet, I have now fully retired; enjoyed an increase in the number of grandchildren from two to four (the most recent being adoptees from Russia); created newsletters for our local senior center; visited Europe twice; taken cruises through the Panama Canal and to Alaska; rafted two stretches of the Colorado River (one with CP classmate Chuck McCallum); kayaked among the islands of British Columbia; and introduced my oldest grandson (age 11) to fishing and hiking in the Sierras. In addition, we continue to enjoy visiting our kids in Beaverton, OR, and Goleta, CA, and entertaining friends and relatives who live nearby or drop in from afar. |

Joe and I Married in 1967. Joe and both our sons are in Hi Tech, too. There is a theme here.
I have lived mostly in Seattle, but also in SF and New Mexico. I would like to devote a year to google and wiki everything I always wanted to know about, but never got around to. I sail, ski, read, garden, dance, hike, bird, wine, whine, cook....... Sandy@SandyWinston.com |
