I retired to Sebring, Florida 3 years ago and I find myself busier now than I ever was when I was working. I spent 30 years in various aspects in the residential mortgage business ending with a 17 year position as VP of a small mortgage due diligence company. My work took my all over the country.... back when travel was not such a hassle, and I truly loved it.
Among many other activities that keep me busy, I enjoy playing bridge two or three times a week and teaching line dancing at a local 55+ community.
I have fond memories of my time at Clover Park and in the Lakewood/Tacoma area and I’m looking forward to attending reunion festivities. |

I attended Stephen College and then graduated from the U of O in Education and worked in the schools, mostly middle school, until 2003. I married a great guy that I met at the U of O, Lowell, and we have two sons, both who are married. Mike, our oldest, lives in Everett and has two girls, 15 and 10. And our other son Chris lives in Steamboat Springs Colorado and has a son 6 months old. We spent a lot of time skiing and outdoors with our kids. When they were older we took up sailing and have had several boats. In 1997 we took a sabbatical from work and had a great trip when we went down through the Panama Canal and up to Florida on the sailboat. For the past 5 years, after retirement we have kept our boat in Mexico and spend about 6 months there and 6 months in our home in Mt. Vernon. My husband and I are both enjoying our life as retired grandparents.

After high school graduation went to Fort Ord for six months of basic training for the National Guard. Worked at Albertson's for a year and then entered UPS and after 2 years transferred to the U of W. Married Sue Hadfield (CP class of 62) in 1963. Graduated U of W 1967. Started teaching in Bellevue. Two sons resulted from that union (Brett in 1968 and Tor in 1971) which culminated in divorce in 1973. Taught at an alternative school(Off-Campus School started by the Bellevue School District in 1970) from 1970 until 1999. During those 32 years I lived in Port Orchard,Kirkland, Snoqualmie (twice),Centralia,Kirkland and finally Puyallup. I bought the Blueberry Farm in 1998(6.06 acres with 2100 blueberry plants) in preparation for retirement and have been farming it for 14 years. It is an uncertified organic "You Pick" operation with harvest season support from my son Tor and his wife Tiffany, sister Mardonna and husband Lloyd, brother Gorden and nieces and nephews and my border collie Katie. The farm has existed since 1940 and the first plants may have been planted then. It has at least 20 cultavars that may be as old or older than I am. Every day is a job and every day is a vacation. Come and pick to classical music itsone of life's fine experiences. |

My first 27 years out of high school were spent in college at Western, graduate school at Central and a teaching/coaching career that saw me work on both sides of the mountains in both Oregon and Washington. I the made the mistake of becomming a principal and hated it. After a year of that I bought a Radio Shack store and started my second career. At one point we were up to three stores but a few years ago we cut back to two. My wife Barbara and I are still both working full time although we do try to take more vacation time each year. Along the way we have accumulated four kids, nine grand kids and to date two great grand kids.

Our four kids all live in Washington and we have 7 grandkids; and five great grandkids. My wife, Linda, and I happily sold our yellow page business to a British company in 2007 and spend our time between Samish Island and Scottsdale with a lot of traveling thrown into the mix.Although not listed in the grad program I did get my diploma in a private "ceremony" with the vice principal. |

My husband, Jack, and I moved to Olympia in 1998.We love living down here and it's been fun to find other 1961 C.P. graduates living here also. In the past ten years I have become a grand-parent to my daughter's two children Sarah and David - ages 7 and 9. I can highly recommend being a grand-parent - so much more fun than being a parent! Life is great other than the aches and pains of getting older. I'm looking forward to seeing every one at the reunion. + |

I have been married for 46 years to my very sweet and tolerant husband, Darl. We have two great sons, Rob and Jeff, the best daughter-in-law, Jaimie and after thinking we would be in the home before we had grand children__FINALLY, we are Nama and Cappy to Connor and Marley! Life, as we knew it changed, when Dixie, our white boxer, came into the picture__she absolutely rules the house. We have spent the last 12 years working on our bucket list, complete one thing...add two more...so it's going to take a while. We have had a lot laughter, a few tears, but all and all a wonderful Fifty years! |

Returned to the Pacific Northwest in 2011 (to Redmond, WA) after spending over forty years in NJ and PA working for AT&T Bell Labs (28 years) and then First USA Bank (2 years), with 10 subsequent years teaching math parttime at Villanova and the University of Delaware.Pennie and I (married for 55 years) spend winters in Phoenix where our daughter Christy, son-in-law, and two grandchildren reside. Our son Chaz now lives in Seattle with his wife and two more of our grandchildren. My interests still include travel (not so much during the pandemic), music, genealogy, history, and backpacking. |
