Classmate Profiles

This is your opportunity to provide a little bit about what has occupied your life for the past 60 years.  Be as cryptic or as verbose as you desire.  Just one little word of caution -- our committee reviewer is known to strike out explicit profanity.  Any photographs you also wish to share can be downloaded in the 'image box'.

Provide as much or as little contact information you wish to appear on your profile page.  Should you seek unlisted contact information about a classmate, please send us a query on the "Contact Us" page.  We will endeavor to coordinate your inquiry with that person.

Profiles for the 2011 and 2016 Reunions have been retained.  Use yours as you wish to modify, delete and/or add more comments.

If you have forgotten or lost your personal password, please create a new Profile and we will make an effort to combine the current and older information together.  Since we have no record of your old password,  please keep track of your new one.

Comment:

I retired in 2000 as Admin. Asst. to the VP of Finance & Admin. & Director of Business Services at the University of Puget Sound.  After my husband retired (2003), we moved to Sun City Grand in Surprise, AZ, just NW of Phoenix.  We are actively involved with the many wonderful resort-like amenities this community offers, making every day feel like we are on vacation.  We are blessed to have both of my daughters and their families (5 grandchildren) living within about 30 miles of us--all "migrating" from Washington.  We enjoy using our timeshares, as well as spending time with our friends and family.  Life is great, and we count our blessings each day.  Although I will, unfortunately, not be able to attend this reunion, I will look forward to any future "gatherings" that may be scheduled.  Wishing everyone a wonderful evening--hoping there will be many, many pictures posted to the reunion website.  A "thank you" is extended to all who made this great website possible.

Best to everyone--Sandy

Comment:  So sorry I missed the grand reunion! I'll have to settle for hearing stories and enjoying pictures as they are posted.

The photo is the "just before the launch" when my lovely Oz spooked big time, leaving me with a femur full of plates and pins. He promises to be better behaved before the 55th when I will see you all!

My husband, Ray, and I have been married for 50 years.  We have 4 grand daughters and 1 great grand daughter.

Over the years, we have done our fair share of skiing, camping, hiking, boating, fishing, bowling, golfing, traveling, rv traveling.  Now, it is mostly taking care of the family beach place.

The web page is fantastic.  I very much enjoy reading the profiles of classmates from '61.  Well done, crew.

After graduating from Clover Park, I attended Western Washington State College, taught in the Shelton and Clover Park school systems, received a graduate degree from the U. of Idaho, and worked for three agencies--Bureau of Outdoor Recreation, Heritage Conservation and Recreation Service, and National Park Service--of the U.S. Dept. of the Interior. I also married my wife, Bonnie, in 1965, following our senior year at WWSC. By 1973, we added a son, Chris, and a daughter, Jill, to our family.

As a follow-up to my profile in the “40 Year Reunion” booklet, I have now fully retired; enjoyed an increase in the number of grandchildren from two to four (the most recent being adoptees from Russia); created newsletters for our local senior center; visited Europe twice; taken cruises through the Panama Canal and to Alaska; rafted two stretches of the Colorado River (one with CP classmate Chuck McCallum); kayaked among the islands of British Columbia; and introduced my oldest grandson (age 11) to fishing and hiking in the Sierras. In addition, we continue to enjoy visiting our kids in Beaverton, OR, and Goleta, CA, and entertaining friends and relatives who live nearby or drop in from afar.
