Classmate Profiles
This is your opportunity to provide a little bit about what has occupied your life for the past 60 years. Be as cryptic or as verbose as you desire. Just one little word of caution -- our committee reviewer is known to strike out explicit profanity. Any photographs you also wish to share can be downloaded in the 'image box'.
Provide as much or as little contact information you wish to appear on your profile page. Should you seek unlisted contact information about a classmate, please send us a query on the "Contact Us" page. We will endeavor to coordinate your inquiry with that person.
Profiles for the 2011 and 2016 Reunions have been retained. Use yours as you wish to modify, delete and/or add more comments.
If you have forgotten or lost your personal password, please create a new Profile and we will make an effort to combine the current and older information together. Since we have no record of your old password, please keep track of your new one.

Hey everyone, I don't know about you CP alums, but coming up with a biography of what we all have been up to for the past half a century seems a bit self serving and strange. It reminds me of that old TV show "This Is Your Life" or in some cases that Clint Eastwood movie, "The Good, Bad, and the Ugly". However, in the spirit of celebrating our big reunion event here's a snapshot of my "Good" activities for the past fifty years. Accepted and attended Pacific Univerity. Earned a BA degree in political science/history. Attended Northwest Law School, now is Lewis & Clark Law School, for one year. Attended Portland State University Grad School for one year. Offered a job at The Oregonian Publishing Co. newspaper spending 25 fun years involved in the advertising/Marketing side of the paper. I then retired and started involvement in my own business with a sit down Espresso shop located close to the Portland Airport. Spent the last twelve years having a great time learning how to run a business. Most challenging. I just retired for the second time and am learning to enjoy a life of leisure. On a personal note, I am married to a wonderful woman, Mary Kay, who has put up with my goofy nature for years. I have two grown up kids and two granddaughters. My future plans are flexible. I hope to do some more cruising and more time at our beach place on the Oregon Coast. Perhaps you guys could give me some other ideas. Well, I've left out a bunch, but that's it in a nutshell for now. Overall, things have been pretty darn good. The "Bad" and "Ugly" has been minimal. I hope the Reunion Committee will have name tags for everyone. I fear we don't look quite the same as we did in our yearbook. Am looking forward to seeing everyone. I'm convinced that the 1961 class was the best class that Clover Park ever produced! Go Green and White, Fight - Fight- Fight Warriors!! |

Comment: I have been married to my wife, Patricia, for 37 years. We have 3 children and 6 grandchildren with one in the oven. After Clover Park, I spent 5 years in the Navy Civil Engineer Corps and then went to Harvard Business School. My entire career was spent in comercial real estate development. In 1987, I formed my own Company, Prentiss Properties, which we took Public in 1996 and sold the Company in 2006 for approximately $4 Billion Dollars, so our shareholders did very well. Since then, I have spent my time with my family, as well as travelling, and working on my photography and golf game. |

Since retiring from a 30-year career in advertising 4 1/2 years ago, I have acquired two new passions: pickleball and playing drums and harmonica in a Dixieland band and a rock band (Ren Taylor would have been proud ... I think). Between Denise (my wife) and I we have 5 children, 6 grandkids and (yikes) two great-grandkids. (Site Administrator comment: Saxon 'Bill' Rawlings wrote the song and lyrics for the jingle "Do the Puyallup!" back in 1976. Once you hear it, you never forget it. Thanks Saxon!) |

Comment: After graduation from Clover Park, I attended Washington State University for 2 years and then 2 more at University of Puget Sound. Spent the next 4 years in the Army, taught school briefly, worked for civil service then got a Master's Degree at San Jose State University. Married with one of our eventuoally three children, we moved back to Tacoma where I got a job as a copywriter at the Cole & Weber Advertising agency in Seattle; which is also where I wrote "Do the Puyallup" for the Western Washington State Fair. In 1980 I was recruited to an agency in San Diego, spent 5 years with them, went freelance for 11 years and finished my career with a couple of local firms in their marketing departments, retiring in 2006. During that time I was divorced, then remarried to a wonderful woman who died in 2016 after a long bout with brain cancer. From her, I acquired a great stepson. The gods must be smiling upon me because I am now in a relationship with another wonderful woman. Musically, during my years in San Diego I have been fortunate enough to play in church bands for over 40 years (guitar, bass and drums), as well as a Dixieland Band (3 years), Blues/Classioc Rock Band (6 years) and a Standards Quartet (current). |

I am looking forward to the reunion and thanks to all of you who have worked to make it happen. DDA |
