Guest Book

Please take the time to let us know how you enjoyed the Reunion and what you might like to see different for any future events.  We are looking for your comments about the type of reunion you would favor should we plan for another one (same as 2022, a large picnic event, just a no-host social gathering, etc.).

The Guest Book does not take the place of our Classmate Profiles pages. Be sure to give us a written picture of what has occupied the past 60 plus years of your life on the Profile pages!  We have retained comments made after our 50th and 55th Class Reunions in 2011 and 2016.

Also, use this page to pass along any contact information you would like to convey to your classmates.  Use the "CONTACT US" page to convey information of a more restricted nature you wish us to pass along to any of your classmates.  Don't be shy about also posting a picture or two on the Photo Albums page.  And stay in touch!

A huge THANK YOU to all reunion committee members for volunteering their time, many hours, to ensure that we attendees would have a memorable experience. :)

Dear Pat (Templin), 1961 Reunion Committee, and Magnificent Class of 1961:  Thank you for the invitation to the Sunday morning brunch.  It was a wonderful opportunity to visit with alumni and hear about the accomplishments of members of the class over these past fifty years.  I was happy to be able to "table hop" on Saturday night and meet some who were not able to make the brunch.  Please accept my apoligies for not being able to visit with each of you personnally. The way you selected a former student to introduce each guest faculty member was very well-done.  As proud as I am of the class of 1961, I am equally proud to be associated with the truly great teachers who were able to attend - Bob Peterson and Don Droetboom (both outstanding history teachers);  Warren DePrenger(one of the most outstanding wrestling coaches in the nation and exceptional mathematics teacher), and the incomparable Jerry Storvick, Counselor and history teacher.  God bless you all!

Classmates - A huge "THANK YOU" from your reunion committee for your contribution in making this 50th the best and most attended.  From all accounts, everyone seemed to be having a great time whether at Meadow Park and/or Fircrest Golf Club.  This is a great start for the next reunion.

I am living in Tacoma with my husband Bert 4323and travel 4 months out of the year.  I have 2 grandchildren ages 5 & 8 girl and boy.  They spend all summer with me at the beach in Longbranch.  I spend most of my time sewing and working in the yard in the summer when I am home.

Just a note to say hello. I just went to CP for a year and a half as my parents divorced and we moved to UP. So did not know many here. Had various jobs since high school. Married in 1966 and we have 2 children adults and 3 grand children. Retired in 2005 and it is great. Do a lot of service work in a 12 step program, has actually saved my  life, and am truly grateful. We do some trailer camping spend time with grand kids etc. Will not be able to make this one, but thanks for keeping me on the list.

I didn\'t graduate with the class as I moved to Calif. in my Junior year but still consider myself a classmate.  Wish I could attend this reunion like I did the 20th. but unfortunately am unable to.  Hope everyone has a great time remembering and reminiscing about the time that has gone by.

Grest start to our reunion weekend. Had a wonderful time at the \'no host\' Friday night event. Great job done by the reunion commitee.

I want to apologize to the reunion class today. When I excused myself from the table for personal reasons apparently my husband followed me. When he found me he said he had to leave.  I wondered this morning before we left for the lunch but he said he could make it. Anyway he couldn't.  That's why I collected his golf winnings for him.  It would have embarrassed him to tell the group so we just left.  Am so sorry.  I had a wonderful Friday with the reunion group and will have those memories forever.   Thanks to all of you who were so gracious to both of us.  He will be okay - this is ongoing.

I will be there!  And, Bill, I am not even sure what pickleball is!

This past spring we lost one of our teachers, Wes Saxton, who passed away on March 21, 2016.  Given his service during WWII, he was buried with military honors at Mt. View Cemetery in Lakewood.

I will be attending the Meadow Park Function Friday night and my wife Judy and I will be coming to the Fircrest function on Saturday.  Looking forward to it!  After high school spent four years in the Navy, 30 years with the City of Tacoma Street Dept.   The City was good to us, retired in 1997, and enjoying retirement and the GRAND kids!

Hi,  Well I have some time so I thought I would fill in some of the blanks since 1961.  I left in the middle of my Sr. year.  My father took a job in Louisville, KY.  My parents decided they wanted me to redo my Sr. year in KY so I got in the car and went with them.  I remember going around to each class to get signed out.  Trina was with me.  It was the hardest thing I have ever done, just about anyway.  I didn\'t really have time to say goodbye to most of you.  So, I went to KY and enrolled in Louisville Country Day School, a school with 300 students from K through 12.  What a culture shock from CP with 1800 students.  Anyway, I stayed for 25 years, married, 2 kids, boy and girl and now have 5 grandchildren.  Served in Vietnam as a Signal Corps Officer, Infantry trained.  Ended up getting divorced.  Now married to Kim, no childred, we live in Portland since 1995.  I still work, sell Life Insurance, Long Term Care Ins and other stuff.  I am really looking forward to seeing my old friends after 50 years of being "yanked"out of my confort zone.  You will have to help me with some of the memories.Best Regards,  Bruce

Am so happy to finally be able to attend a reunion.  It's been a long time coming - like most of you we have had family obligations that could not be ignored.  It is an exciting thought to see everyone again and I just hope you recognize me!  Age is not so much fun.  Go Warriors and Go Clover Park! Really looking forward to this weekend.

I would not missi it for the world!  I\'m flying in next week so I can make a drive run to the place.  Don\'t wish to get loss.  I can\'t read a map, but I have a gps.  HA!  Anyway hope to see you all next month!

I will, unfortunately, not be able to make it to the reunion this time due to another committed conflict on the same dates.  I will be thinking of everyone, and I extend my well wishes.  Enjoy all the wonderful events that are planned.  Hope to make it to the next one!
